It took me a while to figure out what "international" rule set it actually uses (Zung Jung, not Chinese International-- I was originally looking for the latter, but after playing for a bit, I actually like this system better!) However, it appears to have some scoring issues. In particular, a pure one-suit hand is consistently counted as both pure and mixed, making it much more valuable than it should be. If the scoring bugs were fixed it would be 5/5.

The game is no-frills, which is great. I like that it doesn't require internet to play. The graphics aren't well optimized for tablets, but that's okay. Would like more details on how the scores are calculated, like an intermediate screen showing the winning hand and an itemized tally of how it found the total. But what I can't forgive is that on the latest update, it had a bug where I had a chow (yes, from "upper") but it didn't let me claim it. Because of that, I can only give it three stars.

Love the game but has a few quirks. Often freezes and goes back to start screen where you can hit play then resume game. This is irritating. Occasionally when I'm about to win for some reason it crashes out and says it cannot resume game so you have to start again. This feels very much like the app being a sore loser... Wish could set minimum points the robot players have to achieve with a hand so they can't just go out with peanuts ( chicken)...
